Drug Evaluation Network System (DENS™) ASI Software CD
The DENS Software CD is an electronic ASI data collection system created with substance abuse treatment providers in mind. It automates administration of the ASI through an intuitive, time-saving interface used mainly by counselors at treatment facilities. Brief Intervention
CD
The Brief Intervention for Substance Abusing Adolescents is a multimedia
CD workshop developed by TRI Senior Scientist Ken C. Winters, Ph.D., noted
expert on adolescent substance abuse. The program is a computer-delivered
adaptation of the Brief Intervention (“BI”) workshop Winters
developed based on research with mild drug-abusing adolescents and their
parents. The BI program consists of three individual sessions –
two with the adolescent and one with the parent or parents. Workshop topics
include general counseling skills, with a focus on motivational enhancement
strategies, and a detailed description of the model. The entire CD, including
the workshop, manual, suggested scripts, worksheets, and a brief summary
of drugs commonly abused by teenagers, is available from TRI. More
